李有泉,男,1963年4月生,甘肅靖遠人,九三社員。現任浙江大學理學院教授、博士生導師,物理系學術委員會主任。浙江省政協常委、浙江省科協常委,九三學社中央委員、九三學社浙江省委副主委。
教育及工作經歷:
1983年畢業于蘭州大學物理系,獲學士學位。
1983年至1989年在蘭州大學物理系攻讀研究生,先后獲碩士、博士學位。
1989年至1990年任煙臺大學講師。
1990年至1992年浙江大學博士后。
1992年起在浙江大學物理系工作,先后任副教授、教授、博士生導師。
1997年3月至1998年3月赴瑞士、美國學術訪問。
1999年5月至2001年8月赴德國學術訪問(洪堡學者)。
社會兼職:
1、中科院理論物理研究所客座。
2、意大利國際理論物理中心正規協聯成員(Regular Associate)。
3、英國劍橋國際傳記中心顧問。
4、美國《Physical Review Letters》及《Physical Review B》特約評審人。

主要研究強關聯系統和介觀體系物理的理論研究;量子場論對稱性及其在凝聚態物理中的應用等。

——訪國家自然科學獎二等獎獲得者 長江特聘教授李有泉
走過浙大玉泉校區的邵逸夫科學館,轉一個彎就到了一座占地不大的兩層小樓,小樓有些像北京的四合院,安安靜靜的,中間有個天井,種了些花草,這就是浙江近代物理中心。
這個小小的幾乎占據了玉泉校區最高點的小樓里卻是名人薈萃,教育部“長江學者”李有泉就是其中的一位。我們到的時候,被學生團團圍住的李有泉從人叢中探出頭來,客氣地招呼著我們,原來剛剛得到國家自然科學二等獎這項崇高榮譽的李有泉昨天才從北京回來,上午給本科生上完量子力學,下午就被研究生們圍住了。
強關聯系統及介觀體系物理方向,李有泉已經研究了多年,此次獲獎的項目是“軌道簡并強關聯系統的SU(4)理論”,李有泉是主要完成者,這個聽起來很拗口的名稱著實難倒了來采訪的新聞記者。謙遜的李有泉認真地解釋了半天,也沒能讓大家聽懂,他就不好意思了。其實對物理稍有關注的人都知道,對強關聯電子系統的研究,多年來一直是凝聚態物理領域中富有挑戰性的課題之一,李有泉他們項目組從當時與實驗密切相關的理論模型入手,通過抓主要矛盾的方式簡化次要因素,用非微擾方法和對稱性分析方法加上必要的數值分析,深入研究了有軌道簡并的系統。從而解決了用微擾方法和傳統凝聚態物理方法很難處理的問題。這個創造性的理論發表在國際著名學術刊物上后,倍受業界人士關注。李有泉提出了軌道自由度有助于實現共振共價鍵自旋液體,指出它可以LiNiO2材料中得以實現。這個SU(4)對稱性理論的發現不僅推進了國際上該領域的理論研究進程,而且對從事物理實驗研究的學者有較大的啟發。
從事純理論研究的學者與做應用研究的學者有很大的不同,近代物理中心里沒有一個真正意義上的實驗室,這些理論物理學家的實驗室就是他們發達的大腦,在需要數學推演的時候,李有泉還需要一支筆,幾張紙,有時也會用計算機做些計算。談到這個項目的創意,李有泉說,那是97年底,在美國訪問時與合作者一起從不同角度的許多討論和不斷地深入研究后獲得第一步重要突破的。 其實好的創意的基礎在于平時的學術積累,李有泉解釋,每天都有一些模型、一些圖像、一些思路儲存在大腦里,經過不斷的數學推算、模型修正和圖像完善,持之以恒,有時候就會產生“頓悟”獲得飛躍性進展 。另外,與世界一流學者的接觸和交流對保持高水平選題很重要。
一直以為李有泉是一個海歸學者,一問才知道他還是個老浙大。1991年來到浙江近代物理中心做博士后,然后留校當老師,至今已有12年,當問到這里的工作條件時,他感嘆到,浙江近代物理中心在十年前還是國內少有的硬件條件比較好的理論物理研究單位,十年來聚集了不少物理人才,為我國物理學科的發展作了很多貢獻,現在中科院、清華大學、南京大學等科研院所與高校對物理研究越來越重視,硬件條件已大大超過了物理中心,言談間流露出李有泉對近代物理中心的發展的殷切期望。 在國外做訪問學者的時候,李有泉可以把幾個月的時間“奢侈”地放在一個問題上,現在卻有許多“重要”的事要分心,培養梯隊、聘請外國專家等等,特別是很多表格之類在國外由教授的秘書可以作的事。這次采訪中筆者就眼見李有泉為了為我們尋找并復印一頁材料,化了十分鐘時間。雖然工作狀態上不去,但是這樣的環境并沒有難住李有泉,他已經在著手進一步的研究——強關聯系統及介觀體系物理研究。
除了帶研究生與博士生,李有泉一周還有4節本科生的課程——《量子力學》,這是一門物理學科經典的課程之一,他坦言去上課的目的之一是想吸引更多的拔尖學生來研究物理。
離開時,我們看到李有泉辦公室的小黑板上放著一盒水彩筆,原來這是李有泉他們每周六研究生例會時要用的,以前是寫在黑板上,一擦就沒了,后來他在國外作學術交流時學了一個好辦法,每次討論都拿大紙,用水彩筆畫,寫完一張就能留下來。而一個個新的理論創意就在這一張張的討論紙的背后誕生了。
